While the AI community believes that we're at the early stages of AI breakthroughs, the excitements around this field, has brought the attentions to the mysteries rather than the real stories and limitations. In this talk, Hossein Sarshar provides an overview of Artificial Intelligence that unravels the mysteries and hypes around it. His aim is to provide a practical definition of this field and elaborate on the emerging opportunities that it has created for our lives and our careers.

Hossein Sarshar is a Senior Data Scientist at Microsoft which works on solving large scale machine learning problems for Microsoft customers. He has been active in the field of AI/Machine Learning for the past six years and has been involved or led several data science initiatives. Prior to his data science career, he was a software engineer for almost a decade. Hossein holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in Computer Science with focus on parallel & distributed computing and machine learning.
